High Blood Pressure Effected by time of year

A new french study has shown that there may be a relationship between your blood pressure and the time of year. The study followed over 8800 participants and found that the participants blood pressure varied based on the four seasons of the year.

The study found that more people had high blood pressure during the winter than any other season. In Fact, 33.4 % of the people studied had high blood pressure during the winter compared to only 23.8% during the summer months.

One possibility may be a lack of exercise during the winter season. During the summer months people are generally more active which may explain the drop in blood pressure readings.
