Peanut Corporation of America knowingly shipped salmonella products

Management at the peanut processing plant in Blakely, Georgia, responsible for the huge salmonella outbreak, knowingly sent out contaminated peanut butter. Workers are saying that management knew about the problem and also did nothing to correct problems with mold growing on their walls and ceilings.

The salmonella problem has infected more than 500 people in America, and has caused at least eight deaths.

Between June 2007 and September 2008, The FDA found products contaminated by salmonella on at least 12 occasions.  However, the Peanut Corporation of America still shipped the tainted products.

Symptoms of salmonella can include diarrhea, fever and cramping.

Why does this not suprise me, obviously profit is more important then the saftey and health not only of those who were infected with salmonella but those who work at the plants. How many incidents like this are going to happen until changes are made?
