Rebif (interferon beta-1a) is used for the treatment of patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis.
Why was Rebif Recalled or why should it be recalled?
It has not been recalled as of yet. Depression, suicidal thoughts, and suicide attempts have been seen with increased frequency in patients receiving interferon compounds, including Rebif. Severe liver dysfunction, leading to hepatic failure requiring liver transplantation, has been reported in patients taking Rebif
