What is Diane-35 used for?

Diane-35 is being used as a Birth control Pill but was only approved for acne.

Why was Diane-35 Recalled (or why should it be) ?

More than 800,000 prescriptions of Diane-35 were written last year and the majority of Canadian women are taking it for birth control. That’s the problem. The drug was approved by Health Canada to treat severe acne. While Diane-35 does prevent pregnancy, study also found that it increases the risk of blood clots by at least four times more than standard birth control pills.
