Vioxx was used to treat:
- Symptoms of osteoarthritis
- Acute pain management in adults
- Painful menstrual cycles.
Vioxx was pulled from the market in 2004
The pain killer Vioxx was yanked from the market in 2004 because of an increased risk of heart attacks, strokes, and death. When the medication was taken off the market many doctors hoped that stopping the drug would end the risk of problems.
Now Experts think that long-term use of most NSAIDS (non-aspirin painkilling drugs) in this class of medication can boost the risk of heart attack, stroke and death.
Common Misspelling: viox, veyeox, vyox viyox, viocks, vyocks, vyiox, veyox
