Zoloft for OCD, Depression, Anxiety
Zoloft is a prescription medicine that is prescribed for people with the following problems:
- Depression
- Panic Disorder
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Obsessions
- Compulsions
If you were prescribed the oral concentrate, you must mix it with another liquid before taking it.
- Pour 4 oz. (1/2 cup) of any of the following liquids into a drinking glass: water, ginger ale, lemon/lime soda, lemonade or orange juice. Do not use any other liquids besides these.
- Draw up the proper amount into the special dropper that comes with the medicine.
- Squeeze it out of the dropper into the drinking glass. Stir well. It is normal if a slight haze appears after mixing.
- Drink all the liquid as soon as you have mixed it. Do not mix it in advance.
What if I miss a dose
Take the forgotten dose as soon as you remember. If several hours have passed, skip the dose. Never try to “catch up” by doubling the dose.
What are the side Effects of Zoloft
Zoloft may cause side effects in some people.
The most common ones are:
- dry mouth
- upset stomach
- decreased appetite
- feeling unusually tired or sleepy
- trouble sleeping
- sexual problems in men and women
- diarrhea/loose stools
- tremor
- feeling agitated
- indigestion
- increased sweating
Children who take ZOLOFT may also have other side effects including:
- excessive movement or twitching
- fever
- trouble concentrating
- not thinking normally
- nosebleeds
- weight loss
- bruising
- manic or excited behavior, and rapid mood swings.
Zoloft can also trigger inappropriate, out-of-control behavior or mania.
Do not take Zoloft:
- within 2 weeks of taking any drug classified as an MAO inhibitor.
- If you have a kidney or liver disorder,
- While drinking alcoholic beverages
- When breast feeding

This stuff (Zoloft) is POISON. It made me feel terrible. I couldn’t feel any emotion, my mouth was dry, I was agitated and couldn’t sleep.
For God’s sake, WHY give a respected medical professional give somebody something that is WORSE than what they are already dealing with, or makes teens want to commit suicide???
Yikes! No more for me.
