And it’s not only T.V.; it’s basically any activity that involves sitting in a sedentary position for over four hours.  The study showed that even those who surf the web or play video games for more than four hours a day are at risk. In fact, the analysis looks like even those that spend two hours a day are at a greater risk than those who don’t.

The study which looked at the link between T.V. time and fatal and non-fatal heart attacks showed a 48% increase in the risk of all-cause mortality and about a 125% increase in the risk of a cardiovascular event in people spending more than four hours.

The scariest part of the survey for couch potatoes is that the study suggests that even moderate exercise may not help those who spend so much time in front of the tube.

Probably not a surprise to most but a new report from the UCLA Center for Health Policy suggests that 2 million Californians, 8% of the population, has mental-health problems or illnesses that require treatment. The study also found that 17% of single parents believed they needed mental health treatment.

The research showed that one out of every twelve Californians suffered from serious psychological distress. While this is most likely just another bullshit study sponsored by Big Pharma to pump more medications to the sheep, it does show a pretty sad trend.

The fact that 17% of single parents thought they needed mental health treatment is pretty disturbing. They’re probably the same morons who are pumping their kids full of medications instead of learning how to parent properly. When you have a population that’s been brainwashed into thinking they need mood altering medications for every little sad thought, is it any wonder that this country is so screwed up right now.

Is this the U.N’s Agenda 21?

The Obama administration petitioned the US supreme court to put the execution of Humberto Leal Garcia on hold while they attempt to convince Congress to pass a law that would take State rights away and prevent the convicted rapist and murderer and other foreign nationals from being put to death.

Luckily so far Governor Rick Perry of Texas isn’t budging and has said that Texas will put the convicted murderer to death.

The Obama White House has submitted a 30-page brief to the supreme court stating that carrying out of the execution “would place the United States in irreparable breach of its international law obligation.”

I guess President Obama forgot that he was elected President of the United States of America not the world!

In an effort to rectify what the Los Angeles School District see’s as some sort of urban equality issue, the LA Times is reporting that they are forcing the schools to place less importance on homework. In fact, homework will not be allowed to make up more that 10% of a child’s grade.

So instead of teaching these kids how to get out of the ghetto and how to make a better life for themselves they decide to screw them for life? How is letting these kids off the hook going to set them up for a better future?

With DHS announcing the roll out of this new technology it won’t be long before the government ramps up its efforts to collect everyone’s DNA information.

Think it could never happen?

It already is.

For years, a number of states have been collecting the DNA from newborns and storing it in massive government databases. S.1858, a bill passed by congress, allowed the federal government to collect and store DNA from newborns with or without the parents consent.

And it’s not just newborn babies…. They are after everyone.

Last year the house passed a law that would allow the government to take DNA from those arrested for certain crimes. Who cares it’s only criminals right?

Wrong the bill allows them to take your DNA even before you are convicted of a crime.

The Fake Conservatives over at Fox, who are promoting their interview with President Obama, are refusing to show a Christian themed commercial during the Superbowl.

These people are unreal, the same network that will be showing hundreds of ads with half naked women when they know kids will be watching are refusing to show a commercial that is in no way harmful to anyone.
