Risk Factors for Getting Hypertension

Shockingly one out of every three Americans has hypertension. Hypertension is also known as high blood pressure, and can be a huge problem if left untreated. If your blood pressure is over 120/80 you have higher than normal blood pressure.

Risk Factors for Getting Hypertension:

  • Being Overweight can increase your risk of hypertension.
  • The time of year may effect your blood pressure
  • Lack of Exercise
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Eating a poor diet high in Fat and sugars.
  • Some doctors thing that chronic muscle tension and pain can increase your  blood pressure. This may also be related to stress, since muscle tension and stress tend to go hand and hand.
