Herbal Chickweed
Chickweed is a powerful little herb that is used to treat blood toxicity, fevers, and inflammation. Chickweed can help to dissolve plaque out of the blood vessels and is thought to remove fatty substances in the system.
It is also used to help:
- strengthen the stomach and bowels.
- as an antiseptic for the blood
- It may be an effective anti-cancer agent
- It is used as a poultice for boils, skin diseases, sore eyes and swollen testes.
- Breast inflammation during lactation.
- helps heal stomach ulcers and inflamed bowels
- Chickweed is also used in the bath for its “soothing affects” on the body.
Chickweed is rich in many vitamins and minerals including, iron, copper and vitamin C. It contains calcium and sodium and has a high amount of B-complex vitamins. It contains vitamin D, some manganese, phosphorus. and zinc.
