Magnesium and calcium help you sleep

Before you rush to the doctor to get the newest insomnia medications you may want to look at Magnesium and calcium. Natural remedies are often a lot safer, and have fewer side effects than taking prescription medications.

Magnesium and calcium not only helps you fall asleep but it can also help you relax your muscles. Magnesium and calcium both help induce sleep, and when taken together, they are even more powerful than if taken alone.

Magnesium is great for the nerves, the heart, and relaxing muscles.

I am totally confused. I have read that calcium relaxes you. I have just read one statement that it excites the nerves, but magnesium calms the nerves. I have read that magnesium produces energy and that it calms you down. How can it do both? When should I take it? When should I take calcium? Should I take them together or seperately? How do I find out the answers to these questions!?!?!?!!?!?

I have a hard time staying asleep at night(I have sleep apnea) and I take calcium magnesium & zinc. One tablet before bed and I am very drowsy. I wake up rested the next day. 1 tablet is about a 3rd of the reccomended amount( Puritan’a Pride brand).
